Just finished building this last night with some spackling for my mistakes- here's a few additional photos for folks skimming this thread for help. Grifflyer did a lot of smart things with the design, including the skins. He used different tabs on his formers to help folks figure out where the skins go. I put in the recommended 50mm edf and 1300 4S battery, but needed to add a little weight (maybe 1/4 oz) to the tail to get it to balance. Its a nice looking plane- I can't wait to chuck it in the air and see what happens.

It looks great! Can't wait to see the paint scheme!

This thing flies so good BTW!

Unfortunately, not enough umph to fly. A hard throw on full throttle didn't accomplish much. My guess is that I made the edf ducts too small- for the last attempt I cut a huge cheater hole in the bottom of the plane, but it still didn't generate enough speed to fly.

Ratz! Beautiful plane and it looked very controllable. Bigger edf?

After seeing the possible weight gain with using a 64mm edf, I instead chose to reuse the spec 50mm edf and redo the thrust tube. Folding the complicated split tube was the most challenging part of the build. With a new thrust tube, this time the F-22 DID have enough thrust to take flight. I just did some nice lazy circuits up high, but the plane seemed very docile and mellow. I'll try to get video next time I fly it.

Whoops, I could have let you know! I use a 64mm EDF in mine and it never flew.....
