I think I will build the Bat glider for this entry, as I like the lines, and a glider is something unusual that I want to try out. it will be 3ch, most likely start off non powered, as the original, but might add a motor to the front. here is a sneak peak. plans will be drawn by hand then transferred into SketchUp.

here is the blueprint I will use

V1.0 finished ready for electronics. No build pics as it was some quick drawing on the foam and then cutting out. Wingspan 40 inches, and plan on using 9g servos and a ar620 as that is what I currently have. Probably need to use my 2s 800 with an esc for proper balance. Just a question, can an ar520 be powered off of 1s?

Here is a video of the maiden with the 2 layer kfm wing. Horrible, it only flies if you define flying as slowly falling, not staying up for long. Going to remained now with a experimental airlines armin wing. Also 5 inch chord. I had to add 34 grams of weight not counting my 47 grammar 2s battery and a 10 gram escape. 34 grams is a double a and triple a to be exact, plus a gram or two of hot glue. Glodes nice. better than before. Same specs as previous wi g, just true airfoil.

Maybe try slope soaring? Find a hill or sand dune you can go to and fly off there.
I dont have that, and with the new wing it still doesnt fly nice. the closest hill is an hour drive away. easier to go to the club and have someone tow it. I am going to try something else. I am going to do this as a mod to the simple soarer.I am going to build it and try my luck, and then add on the nose pod that allows it to take off from water. hope it works.
