FPV Camera Locking ring bent

Hi all.
I'm in the process of making another fpv backpack for my planes and was re-using an old foxeer monster camera.
Te camera in question took a big hit when last used and the lens locking nut looks to be pushed of center on one side . (Needs a slight adjustment to improve focus)
I tried forcing it of but it won't budge. and I'm worried i might damage the lens if i put the lens and nut in 2 separate pliers and force it.
Anyone come across this problem before and found a solution ?

Thanks.

Ive had to re adjust the lense on several different cameras after a crash. A lot of the times they have a bit of glue on them. Usually you can get them broke free but not always. Like @Merv said, if its already broken you aren't risking anything by trying to fix it.

Never mind.
I was going to leave it till tomorrow and wen't to screw the lens back into the camera and fumbled and dropped the lens.
I don't know how but the nut seems to have re-aligned itself.
Happy days.
