FPV diversity

#1
its nice to have 2 antennas for flying FPV one for close range and one for long range especially if you dont have antennae tracking so to use two antennas you will need a diversity controller and what it does is it automatically picks the antennae with the best signal so in addition to the diversity controller you need two RX and two antennas but if you dont get a plug and play setup you will have to do a little soldering and find the RSSI pin on your video RX and they work with all the frequencies 2.4gh,5.8gh,900mh

I agree with all that except I use a Duo2400. Eventually I want to ad an Oracle Diversity Controller. so that I can run the Dou2400 with 2 linear patches turned 90 degrees from one another, and a wip on the single reciever.

I have Eagletree groundstation and it has built in diversity.
With cloverleaf antennas I never had to use the patch so it is not even mounted on my rig :D

It's an ImmersionRC DUO2400 which is a 2.4ghz diversity controller with 2 recievers built in. The latest one also was telemitry.
In my opinion, it is the best way to do a diversity setup because its all one unit.
does it only do 2.4 ? thats not an option for me i cant find it on the web or i would check it out can you send a link,...

Well there is the dou2400 and the duo 5800 one is 2.4ghz, the other is 5.8ghz. readymaderc has both here

here are the links to the hobbyking branded version of the 5.8ghz

The downside is that you are running those frequencies.
