FPV on fixed wing?

I just recently got my first FPV platform. It's a Inductrix plus and Marvel Vision II goggles. It's a blast to fly. I am now wanting to put a camera on 1 of my fixed wings.

I am looking for a good first camera and VTX for a plane.
I would like good range. Maybe the variable output VTX? 25,200,600mw? I will be flying on a private farm and don't want to lose video before signal.

I'm not really interested in recording the video in any high quality. I can use the DVR in the goggles.
The camera?

The antennas? I have TBS Triumph RHCP and spiroNET patch

I am a noob in FPV but have and flown many different planes. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Pick a plane you like and slap the fpv stuff on it and done, it's about all.

I usually use eachine stuff, either a nice 600mw tx with osd or the TX02 AIO cam but I didn't range test either of those yet.

Fixed wing FPV can be very disorienting at first, and you can easily outfly your video or radio signal . . . often with no warning. In order to prevent your expensive pile of flying electronics flying away to points unknown, it's a good idea to include a simple return to home. The Bigaole 6G-AP works as a stabilizer and GPS enebled RTH for under $60 (when you create an account and log in, the price drops.) It's a simple device that will faithfully return your plane if something goes wrong, or just have it circle overhead while you get your goggles on.

If you don't mind updating firmware and tweaking settings on an electronic thing, then a quad style flight controller running iNav firmware can also do RTH, along with some more advanced features; for less money too.
