I am going to make a FPV60 from schraut5 but I have a question about the engine.

But i want the same motor from hobbyking because that will be easier for me.
So please help me, I dont know which engine is good and I tried to search for one but I failed because I dont know anything about engines.

Schraut5 uses an APC 11X5.5

If you search 2820 on HobbyKing it shows you this motor:

TR 35-42D 1000kv Brushless Outrunner eq: AXi 2820T

But that motor has been replaced with this one:

Yea saw That one to. My wing Will be 30 cm shorter wont it be to overpowered? Also i want it to be efficient and capabele of 30 minutes flights with 2 2200 mah 3 Cells for 4400 mah.

Battery duration is all about throttle conservation - use minimum throttle all the time and it'll last forever.

A low kv motor and large prop should help also I believe. I'm running a DT700 motor with a 12x3.8 prop, and can fly a 1lbs foam FPV plane for 15 minutes with a 3S 2200mah. Keep in mind, this wont get the plane going very fast, but should push enough air with minimal throttle to keep the plane airborne.

The BUT is, I've never seen that combo on flying wings. Usually they are high kv motors with small props. I still haven't figured out the relationship between those two concepts, and how you get more flight time from a given setup.

Yea I still find it hard to know which combos are right. Yesterday I heard from a guy with experience about this subject that a motors give about 4watts per gram. So if your motor is 100 gram it will give about 400 watts. He is also making a wing, slightly bigger and he uses an 1000 kv ntm propdrive with 11x6 foldable prop. I think that I am going to buy that.

What is this "overpowered" you speak of? Like colorex said, just use less throttle. My Super Cub is "overpowered" but it flies great when you pull back on the throttle , keep it at like half all the time.

That's not an exact formula, more of a close guess...

Yea if its overpowered its not a big deal but the difference in the weight is something else..

What you mean is it will be heavier and have higher wing loading. I think 30 cm less isn't that bad... but of course, the more the better!
