Help! FS-I6 Transmitter Binding Issue

Hello, I am trying bind several fs-r6b receivers to a fs-i6 transmitter, is it possible to have 1 receiver bind to model 1 and another rx to model 2 so on.
What I want to do is to have 6 marker buoys setup on Model1 to 6 and be able to switch between models to drive each buoy out on to the sailing course and be able to adjust the individual buoys were necessary by changing to the relevant model, note the 6 receivers will be powered up at the same time.

Is this possible as I have been playing round but all the receivers appear to be bind to all the models and can't set them up for the various models?

Sorry to gate crash a previous thread.

You should be able to, just make sure you bind them individually, (I believe you did from what you said) and make sure you have the correct model selected. If all of this is correct, maybe post a vid or more photos so we can understand better?

This might help....
Yes, the FS-R6B receiver is compatible with the FlySky FS-i6X transmitter, but it's crucial to ensure you're using the correct protocol. The FS-i6X can operate using both AFHDS and AFHDS 2A protocols, and the FS-R6B uses the AFDHS protocol, so you'll need to disable AFHDS 2A in the FS-i6X's settings to bind with the FS-R6B.
Found it on google...

Thanks for your reply.
I have set up 4 rxs and servos as a test circuit, when switching on the tx to Buoy 1 (model 1) all the rxs light up continuous red which indicates they are bound to buoy 1, then I change to Buoy 2 and there appears to be no bound rxs.

I have tried rebinding a rx to model 2 but when the power up the red light flashes once and nothing happens, how can I rebind the rxs to their respected models? 20250508_101956.jpg

...how can I rebind the rxs to their respected models?
I was on an OpenTx system using a 4 in 1 module using FlySky Rx's. With my 1st gen Rx's it was no problem switching models but with the gen2 Rx's they would lose the bind every time I switched models & I would need to rebind them. Then I stumbled across a Rx number deep in the bowls of the firmware. When I gave each model a Rx number, problem solved. The Rx would remember the bind when I switched models.

I suspect the newer FlySky Tx may have a place to input a Rx number for each model.

As Merv explained in Edge right above the bind button should see a place to input a number code what ever you want as an identity to the receiver.

in the settings on the radio you may need to choose what type of reciever protocal you are using. The FS-I6B is a AFHDS-2A
your new radio may be set to AFHDS the old version. There are videos out there on how to change this it's real easy.
Good luck

I think when I’ve used the FlySky FS-IA6B receivers, each receiver was separately bound per model in the TX. Turning on the transmitter with a second receiver wouldn’t connect until you changed over to the other model in the TX settings.

Just to be sure, did you bind to the first receiver, then remove the bind plug, then turn off the transmitter, and then switch to a different model? They would all need to be bound one at a time, and each would need its own model in the TX. Then I think you could probably switch by changing the model in the TX. I could try if it wasn’t going well for you.
