I have to say i was really bummed afterwards that it was not in HD. It showed on the wirecast that we were recording in HD so i thought it was set but realized afterward the the encoder and YouTube were not set to HD. My fault so hopefully next time the audio will be better and it will be HD- Chris

Is the YouTube live stream the permanent replacement for periscope or is this still a wait and see thing?
Have you guys thought about using Google Hangout? I think it can stream live and we could see you too, Andre
Yes we are going to conduct some tests real soon.
My number 1 concern is available bandwidth and I do not want the audio quality of the podcast to suffer but clearly there is an appetite for video during the live cast.
We do like the interaction hence the change to YouTube, the chat stays up longer so we can scroll through and rear.
The other night I was living streaming the footage from my fpv nano qx!

Periscope / YouTube notifications
Would it be possible to get you guys to run a periscope session as well? Almost solely to allow for as an update to get pushed through to people's smart phones.
Or any other options such as a listeners group (as used by the crash cast) to notify viewers as to when you will be going live.
