????????????????????

Chicks dig scars. Dudes love how you got that scar stories. Remember JAWS?
"Fair-well and adieu to you fair Spanish maidens...."

Enough or do I need to finish the movie scene reference. More importantly, WHY didn't you immediately quote back with
"Fair-well and adieu you ladies of Spain."

Someone needs to watch Jaws again and I mean RIGHT NOW!

Switching over to plastic pin hinges for all control surfaces. The paper just isn't holding up, even when gluing the edges.

I think the major amount of possible control surface movement could be a problem. I have my elevator limited to about 1/2 inch for both up and down and the Alerions I have limited to 3/8 inch up and down. Those limits put a lot less stress on the paper hinge.

snicka snicka, how do you hang your plane on the wall like that. How does the fridge stay there too.

chuckle chuckle.

If your nose is hanging down, how do you know where the cg is, shouldn't it be level?

I know it's a loaded question. Mines at 2.75 as shown in this CG Sling picture

Ok, I went to hobby town and got a 9*6 and a 8*6 prop, added the missing rear fin and re balanced it to 2 3/4. When the wind gets below 10mph I will toss it in the air. This time it's perfectly level.

It should be a rocket with the exceed rocket 2215-1300kv and a 9*6 prop.

Soon as the winds get under 10 here I'll join ya. I replaced my too short control horns with longer ones. This way if I sneeze or something I won't pull a couple 5 foot loops. Mines not that fast but it climbs forever so it works fine for my local parks.

The park is two blocks from my house. But I tried flying in the pumpkin patch that's lined with 70ft trees on all four sides. It's 1/3the size of the park and i fly the little champ their alot. Not again.

I usually fly in the farmers fields just out of town. Doubt ill be flying before I go back to work on the 26th.

I don't like my control horns. They fit a little loose in the clevices I chose.

Well, lacking my camera man I grabbed a microcamera attached to a pair of sunglasses and got a quick vid of my Bloody Wonder in the air, it'll be a bit before I flip the high rates on with this one.

I flew Untill the fingers got cold. It still has a wiggle to it that has to be from the loose fitting clevices. I'm going to just use piano wire and Z bends.

The motor and 9*6 prop is impressive. I may go to a 8*6 and see which I like. Their will be less prop to hit the dirt with a smaller one too.

Upon landing I tried throttling to get it closer to me and was too late. Prop hit the dirt and ripped motor mount from foam. Another glue job.

Too me the bloody wonder is way harder to land then my Hawk Sky. May try putting some wheels and landing gear on it.

Naw, just put a single wire OR a V down from the firewall, pinch it with the motor mount. Those big fins and the wire up front will keep you from putting your nose in the dirt.

Come to think of it, I know what tonights project is now. After I get the presents wrapped of course.

Post a picture if you can. I'm in the process of fixing the power pod.

Sometimes I think it's faster to just cut a new pod and transplant the plywood.

I tightened up the elevator by heating the servo horn and shrinking the hole. I'm going to do the same to the horn on the elevator. My servo I discovered there is play in the servo too.

Ill repete process on Ailerons.

Mr Clean, I have to take off and land in heavy grass, those 3 inchers do the best. They do look silly though.

It's snowing. If I want to fly tomorrow and don't want to plow snow with the battery I need to make some ski's.

Now has zero play on all control surfaces. I gave more available elevator. Added 1/4 inch more expo.

With the 300w motor and 9*6 prop it will climb. But it has major lift under power. Ill try shimming the motor down.

There is one thing I can say about this plane, it do draw a crowd. I have yet to fly it without several people appearing to watch. None of my other planes have this effect. I need to get better, fast lol

I can put my hawk at my feet or float it to me and catch it. I have a hard time landing this thing smooth.

Merry Christmas to all. And good night.

Tomorrow, may be some snow flying.
