FT cc2500 pocket radio

The manual ( if you can call it that) says the FT cc2500 works in PWM. If you use the serial port to talk to the FT Aura5 lite will it transmit PPM? What button controls the flight modes?

You will need a Futaba SFHSS or FrSky serial SBUS reciever to connect to the FT Aura. it is the function of the reciever to act as the serial port not the transmitter. Default flight mode channel is 5

I have an Aura working with my flysky Fs-iA6 receiver connected via the serial port. My FS-i6x transmitter has PWM or PPM choices. The FT Pocket cc 2500 lists PWM in the specs but it too has a serial port. So I don’t understand your answer.

Yes, you need to use the Sbus serial port as I indicated above. That is a function of the receiver, not the transmitter. The R88 can do Futaba or FrSky, doesn't matter which you use, but you must use the Sbus serial port connected to the Aura5.

You will need to assign a switch on the transmitter to Output on channel 5. The Aura defaults to the flight mode being on channel 5

Flysky behaves different....

You do not configure the protocol on the transmitter with the Pocket CC2500.
