It’s plenty strong enough. You are not putting huge loads on these airframes.
If you want easy to fly, floaty and forgiving planes then light weight is the best way to achieve it, especially in smaller designs.

@Hai_Lee Recommends using an iron to warm the paper to remove it......it's now my favourite method of removing paper!

Previously I had used a sponge with washing up liquid and warm water (dampened, not dripping wet) and rubbed it lightly, the paper comes off this way... not the cleanest process as paper rolls into small pieces, but it did work!

You will end up with a gentle curve in the board, great for smooth curvy wings :)
