ft mini sportster vs ft mini mustang

I'm looking to build some kind of mini plane with a 55-65cm wingspan. I've watched videos, and they all seem to fly well. In your experience, which of the different FT minis is the most stable, maneuverable, and also performs reasonably well at low speeds?

I really like the mustang but you have to fly it fast. I also like the sportster. I think it will fly a little better at slower speeds. Both are very maneuverable as they have a lot of control surface. F engines and 3/4 throttle for both to launch. If you go less than 1/2 throttle with the Mustang it will stall. If you are in a small area go with the Mini Scout or Mini Explorer. Or even the Tiny Trainer. I used the Tiny Trainer made from Black Redi Board using 2S battery with an F-engine to train. Very light. Use an APO prop. Or get a dozen cheap ones. Even a perfect landing can break the prop with the Tiny Trainer!

It= the Sportster flies a little better at slow speeds.

I'm a big fan of the mini DR1 - but not as a first plane.

I'm currently building an FT Mini Sportster. I'm planning to install an FPV in it. I don't need super-slow flight, I just want the plane to be able to handle certain maneuvers at medium speed without stalling and be able to control reliably.

My first flight with the Mini Sportster I did a roll, a loop, a wing over, a couple of low passes.... then I finally figured out where the plane was and brought it in for a safe landing LOL. I was an inexperienced pilot and the white plane blended in to the grey evening sky. My boys and I still laugh about that flite!!! Can't believe I didn't crash the maiden!!! I think you'll do great. I just might make another one as I have not flown one in several years. Need to finish my Scout XL first.

I'm finishing up the Mini Sportster fuselage. I tried the motor on without gluing it. Everything is according to the drawings. Is the motor angle too far to the right?

The thrust angle looks good. It is designed into the power pod.

It looks ok Note that the mini sportster dose not need down thrust. Every time I flew one with down thrust it would want to dive.
