Does anyone know what landing gear kit josh talks about in the video titled (is this the right warbird for you? /p-38 overview) im finishing up my build soon and was wondering about gear since my location in Arizona is mostly rock/dirt and dried sandpaper grass 🤣 that eats my smaller ft planes over time, so my best way is using my fields smoothed dirt runway. Also or if someone could give maybe dimensions/plans of wire needed to install gear the way in the video. Oh and my build is coming out great so far!

That’s something that I’ve looked and asked around about, and it seems that it hasn’t been released yet. :( @herbertjalarcon addwd landing gear to his, so he might be able to give you details and tips on how to do it.

Why yes I can...in the video, there is a 10 second clip where it shows the landing gear being put in...I stopped it and studied it...I've had over 20 flights now (my new fav...fly it everyday) and everything is awesome...when I get home, I'll shoot some pics and walk you through it! super easy!

Great Job!!! Thank you for sharing your process for putting on landing gear. Let us know how well it holds up over a few flights and if there is anything you would have done differently that would be stronger/better. Congrats!

Thanks! Will do. Maybe even post a video but i have wait a day or 2 for the water to dry because they flood our park with irrigation water once a month

So the landing gear so far is holding up perfectly with 7 total flights now and im not seeing any weak points on it. Here is a video of the first flight with landing gear.

That is great news - it looks like there is no nose wheel steering, but it turns GREAT - are you using differential thrust?

You can see in the video that one motor is turning much faster than the other to turn the plane,I didn't think it would do so well on the ground but it is better than having another servo and works great.

Yes just diferentual thrust. I was also very concerned it would be hard to taxi but it turns better than some servo driven planes i have lol

Looks great! What wheels did you use and what size of piano wire are you using?
