Is everyone using the plan CG ? Using all of the hardware , battery , all up weight of 4 lbs mine was very tail heavy and made for an exciting first flight , managed to input lots of down elevator and land ok but somehow it just seems wrong at 5 inches behind the LE.
Comments ?

I'm not remembering how far back 5 inches ble is but it should be over the spar or just slightly ahead.

Traditional on flatbottoms is just before the high point around 1/3 span from the leading edge. If you can fly it with the cg really aft , position is not as critical but location affects sensitivity to control movement. It calms down as the cg moves forward of the high point. Aka dampened

I have the steerable tail wheel on mine and had to add 4 oz of lead in the nose just in front of the battery to get it to balance on the recommended CG. It flys great!
