FT SWAPPABLE SBK HELP NEEDED

I really want to buy the FT flyer swappable kit, but I have no idea what I'm doing when choosing electronics. I know I'm probably going to use my Champ RTF transmitter for this build, so I'm set there. I kind of know what I'm doing with the electronics, but not so with the battery and linkage stoppers. I'm considering buying the kit from Lasertoyz, but I have no idea whether it comes with a charger or not. I don't know if linkage stoppers are included, either. If someone can answer these questions for me, it would help me immensely, since I'm a complete RC noob and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Ok, let's see what we can do. We'll break your request into different categories since you're asking a few things at once...

I really want to buy the FT flyer swappable kit, but I have no idea what I'm doing when choosing electronics.

I know I'm probably going to use my Champ RTF transmitter for this build, so I'm set there.

This will work... sort of. You'll need a compatible receiver. Either a spektrum brand one, or if on a budget the Hobby King orange made for DSM(2) will do the trick. Just be aware that the Champ transmitter is designed for very limited range. You will not get to fly very far with this. A soccer field would be about as much as I'd trust it. If that much.

I kind of know what I'm doing with the electronics, but not so with the battery and linkage stoppers.

I don't know what you mean about linkage stoppers. Go with the suggested battery that is recommended for the motor combo you get.

I'm considering buying the kit from Lasertoyz, but I have no idea whether it comes with a charger or not.

It will not come with a charger. But that's a great choice for the electronics combo.

This is a good charger that will do what you need. http://www.lazertoyz.com/Loong-Max-Lipo-MultiCharger-E6_p_392.html

I don't know if linkage stoppers are included, either.

Again, I am not sure what you mean by linkage stoppers.

If someone can answer these questions for me, it would help me immensely, since I'm a complete RC noob and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

I hope this helps some. If you have more questions, please post them. Also, what do you mean by linkage stoppers?

Im glad you broke that up..... my head was spinning and its not from the redds apple ale either. The champ uses a spektrum setup, says so right on the remote. Second I think he is talking about these, or something like them

Yes, these are what I mean by linkage stoppers. I was wondering if I can use the Turnigy 2s-3s balancer and charger at http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...3s_balance_charger_direct_110_240v_input.html to charge my batteries and use this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...tte_Lighter_Adapter_for_Battery_Chargers.html to charge batteries from my family's car?

That charger is good for starting out, but you'll grow out fast because it charges slowly. Slow as 5-10 hours.

That charger doesn't have a 12V input, so that adapter would be useless.

If you aren't on a budget I am using this one and I like it as it can be used with 110V, 240V, and in a car (12V) with that adapter you linked there. The cable I got was european though, had to get a new wall plug.

No, the kits don't include those.

Nooooooooo!

At least I wouldn't. I prefer my chargers to have a screen. It helps me to monitor the health of my batteries.

I'd be very careful about this. I don't know of one happening lately, but these batteries can have problems and catch on fire. I do not think your parents would appreciate you burning their car to the ground.

I would recommend the clip plugs (usually included) and a separate battery used just to charge your rc batteries with.

Let me reiterate monkey's point. The champ radio is VERY LIMITED! I wouldn't even go so far as a soccer field. The champ radio is great for the champ but if you are going bigger, invest in another radio soon. It's easy to find someone selling a DX4 or DX5 these days. Find a full range transmitter for sure.
