FT Unlimited Racers - Balistix parts

Yo people, stoked on these. Started off with FT racer plans, but lots changed by the end....

One is essentialy ripslingeresque, and the other I called an Air Grabber.

Both run on 4s - 650kv with 13x6 and 12x6 props. They absolutely rip ! Super fun to race !

Very nice, did you cover them with packing tape?

If it looks like packing tape and smells like packing tape it probably is packing tape

Duct Tape, Masking tape, and artist tape.....lots of glue hahaha

not sure on the speed. I guessing 75-80 mph. I have the little 50mm EDF jets. They do like 50+, and these make the jets look like they arent moving....

That gives the racer a whole new look. I like it nice job. They would deff need more power to excite me tho. But great job man. It gave me some ideas

Well looking up your motor specs. With the power setup you are running. Kv x pitch x volts. Is giving you a pitch speed of only 60s. Now mins drag and other aerodynamic characteristics of your build. your only looking at a top speed in the 50mph range. You need a motor with a bit higher kv and watts..

the one with the bigger prop should be very close to 70mph.

The pitch of those props (when used with the named 680kv motor) will not allow for the plane to travel that fast unless aided by tail wind or possibly a dive. Prop pitch is a hard limiting factor and knowledge of how it works is important when trying to figure these things out.
