Standard Versa tractor build and looking for motor recommendations. Just looking for lightweight park flyer, not a speed demon. Looking on Amazon (Canada), I can get a setup with a 2212 (1400Kv or 2200Kv), esc and two 9g servos for relatively cheap. Would this motor work OK for my needs?

The 2212 1400kv on 3S would fly the plane, a kv around1000 would be slower. For a slow park flyer, look for a motor around 150-250 watts, with a kv around 1000-1200. You might consider bumping up from 22xx to 28xx. I have a 3536 1400 kv on my Versa but then I like a bit more speed.
The other option I can get as a cheap package is a A2217/1250kv, perhaps that would work as a park flyer setup, seems it has more power than the A2212 (2200kv or 1200kv) option?

When sizing a motor look at the watts, that's the measure of power. I believe in 1 horse power, there are about 746 watts.
The kv is the speed you want that power, if you want lots of lugging power & limited top speed, pick a low kv motor, 1000-1200 or so. If you want to go fast but have less luging power pick a high kv motor, 2000+. With kv, think transmission, low gear vs high gear. The engine power is unchanged but the speed the power is delivered is much different.

That’s on par with the original “power pack c” motor which is what I had on my versa. That will be plenty of power.
