This thing is so much fun fpv! I just got my aio fpv camera and I need to get a better battery for it before I fly a plane with it, the current battery isn’t any good and it dies after about 5-7 minutes of being on, so I’ve been ripping around the basement with this. Next step will be my scout-stick fpv, should be fun!Flew my ft edge, and built a small ground effect sort of vehicle from old duet electronics. View attachment 120463 View attachment 120464
So I have been planning to do this for a while, but tonight I hacked my dx6i to have an arm/disarm switch. It was quite simple actually, all I did was open it and swapped the wires of the throttle cut button with the throttle hold switch, so far with the f-pack it seems to work fine . Now instead of having just a button to cut the throttle, I now have a switch, woohoo .
I wanted to swap the two position switch on it for the three position switch in my dxe, but the three position had 3 wires whereas the two position had 2, (The connector to the board in the dx6i was connected to other switches and didn't have space for a third wire). Reason being is I want to get an Inductrix fpv plus, but it needs (not entirely necessarily needs but recommends) a three position for the angle/altitude/agility modes, I think that it will work without (my super cub does) and I'm not to worried about losing the altitude mode (it should be altitude mode that I lose, the super cub lost the middle mode). Any tips on this?If you want another hack - I installed a momentary switch on the back of mine so it sits under the index finger of my left hand. It's wired across the rates switch for the ailerons. When I'm flying low rates but want to roll fast, I just push it - roll - and release.
