Why I do think this concept would be a lot better, by powering individual wheels. If Icedstorm wishes to use more as a basher and ride over rough terrain wouldn't a single motor setup with a simple chain drive have fewer points of failure. With a dual or Quad motor setup you have double or quadruple the points to solder and make connections, and you would have to get a way to mix all 4 motors together which would cause more failure points. You would also have to ensure that the motor shaft isn't loaded by adding a support bearing, unless they design motor shafts to handle the side forces from the wheel. I think it would be far simpler to get a single motor and set it up as a chain drive to remove possible points of failure. Not trying to be rude and say your idea is bad, I'm just throwing out other suggestions.

It is OK but the 4 wheel drive is actually quite simple in that you have a single drive solution used 4 times, and the side thrust or end thrust issue is totally overcome by the wheel mounting solution to which the motor connects.

Wiring does not need to be all soldered as connecting terminal blocks can make it easy to assemble and maintain!

Anyway it is a mute point as it looks like he is seeking a simple electric fun runabout so it has since been simplified!

Mind you the thought of doing 4 wheel burnouts is alluring!

Sweet idea about the electric buggy. Not a topic I have any knowledge on, but I think it's cool. Here's my airframe with no electronics. The new plane looked so good I had to slap some quick vinyl decals on the cockpit and control surfaces. These wil help with orientation too. I tossed this empty airframe a short distance into the couch. It glides straight and stable, so hopefully it flies that way too.

With this motor what gear size, ,chain size, wheels, and battery would you reccomend?

The motor has a gear fitted already but sadly I cannot read the manufacturers part number and so I cannot look up the no load max RPM, (kV?).
Without knowing the rotational speed it is almost impossible to spec a gear ratio! If you can supply more detail on the motor I would be glad ot work out a gear ratio!

Just got myself a new toy, a 3D printer!!!
I've been saving up for this for about a year now and was finally able to pull the trigger. I haven't done a whole lot and I won't be able to do much since I'm moving soon.

After I got my bed adhesion settings down I got a really good print of the benchy boat.

Stock up a mini guinea several times a day to do the drop and then have someone draw the number from a fish bowl er something random like that.

When we moved up from Florida we didn't want to drive across the country just too look at houses, so my family moved into a small apartment, until we could find a home that would suit our needs.

Now I finally be able to start some projects I've been wanting to do for a while now, the first will be a plane built the same way I did the FW-190 last year.

Working on the last stretch of my delta. Figuring out my electonics layout. Looking pretty good, so I'm going to put down the Velcro for my battery and start working on servos and linkages. Should I tape the ESC down to a wall? I'm not sure how bad having it bounce around is.

I usually Velcro mine in so they don't move around and change your balance. If you tape it in do it on the ends over the wires so you don't cover the heatsink. Actually most of mine I will cut a square hole on top of the heatsink to get rid of some shrinkwrap and expose the heatsink even more for better cooling.

I think it is cool what you are trying to build and I looked at your link to motors and controls plus the price, my first thought was what is your budget? You are not converting something you have already you are starting from scratch.

You could probably wire together 5 - 12v lead acid batteries in series for 60v, and then use a regular car battery charger to charge them.

The silver box with the wires coming out of it, is the ESC and control board.

Both batteries would work fine, but the battery with 12ah (the second one you linked) would last longer, if you're riding around constantly at ~80% throttle you could get around a half hour run time. You didn't give any link to a charger?? Only a key switch which would be good for safety.

Did some flying of the FT Mini-Arrow this afternoon and my 5 and 3binch quads FTV. Best bit...my Son came up to Leeds for work this morning and I managed to take the afternoon off. He brought his Mavic 2 Pro with him, great times 😁😁
