It is wild how easily and immediately the Government picks up our radio signatures. Central US has all of the silos and such and each coast has naval and combat aviation assets. All of which is monitored by the fine folks in Air Defense(cant say enough great things). Just like our side income we think they don’t know about, they know, they know…. most of us just aren’t those types of folks so generally speaking, we don’t have to worry about a ceiling fan of freedom (R9X) coming through our front window. Speaking of which, has anyone ever actually been harassed flying out in the boonies?

There is an RC vendor I frequent who has helped test such systems. They would move around, fire up different protocols, frequencies, etc. The system could pick out with great accuracy location, RC protocol etc.... This was before RID was even a twinkle in some people's checkbooks....

Obvious: if someone is harassing you, by definition, that is witnessed. Would the recounting be accurate, I doubt that from what I learned in my psyche classes. If you have 3 witnesses, there will be 4 versions of the event.

Generally resources are scarce, so there wont be any casual monitoring if there aren't enough people to do said monitoring or many complaints. Kinda like a lightbulb left on all night in the middle of the desert. If it don't bother you, it doesn't matter that it's on.

RID is annoying though......It's not really necessary as anyone trying to get into airport ect will be seen on their radar....And as for harassing people that's all covered in other laws anyway.....But I am sure there is a lot more too it that I don't know about.....

Yeah, all the incidents that happen in Airports and that kind of stuff, they are all with phone-controlled drones, and I don't think Remote ID even helps with the problem

Yep, I fly way out in the country so I don't really use it....I only use it when I am flying at a public place where it's needed more.
