All my over ten foot gliders used plug in wings, no rubber bands required. Epoxy a 1/4 id tube between the spars, shove a piece of 1/4 steel rod in the tube, ran through the fuselage, it will survive a full power hilift start with just a bit more diehederal. Sometimes you got so much extra bend, couldn't get the wings off

I'm making progress, slow but still... The fuselage is about 60% designed at this point. 62 inches from firewall to back of elevator.

Things to do:

  • landing gear
  • cut away most of the wood, leaving only what is needed for reinforcement
  • wing mounts
  • top of empennage
  • tail servo mounts
  • battery compartment cover
  • rudder
  • fine toon a lot of trivial things

Made good progress today, glued up plywood reinforcements in the forward fuselage.

Did a lot of design work on the empennage and cut the top empennage plate.

I need to start thinking about the wing and a color scheme.

Any suggestions for a color scheme are welcome as she needs to look good even if she doesn't fly. :p
