I think I figured out what went wrong! So as I was coming around I was picking up speed I think partly the servo was cold, but mainly the servo is placed so that it pushes the control rod to go up...I looked at it this morning and sure enough it was bent some!

I had that happen on my speed bronco. At 120mph I had no up elevator. I got lucky and was able to slow it down and land it. But did notice the bent rod after.

Yeah...I sped UP to get more lift...probably making matters worse!

I bet you that was it. I have a dual servo setup, and modified it to pull on the up, on my twin 70mm A-10. If you bandage it back together, easy modification.

Yup! It sure makes sense! (When I looked at the onboard footage I could see the elevator wasn't moving upward...And I am 100% sure I was full up on the elevator!) When it did fly it actually flew SUPER EASY! And the sound and size.....😁😁😁

Just popped in to say the Monster Bushwacker is incomplete. No flight, no video. Really all that's missing is top wing skin, landing gear, control horns, and the whole power system. But I will ultimately finish it.

Is that Deprom Foam? Never built with that before. Does hot glue work with it? What do you skin it with?

XPS foam insulation. Comes in different colors depending on brand. (USA) Top and bottom wing skins are 1/2" thick so it forms easier. Fuselage is 3/4" thick. Hot glue tends to melt into it. I used foam-safe Gorilla glue.

Thanks guys! It took a LONG time because I had like 200clips to sort thru and they are all in 4k so I have to make a proxy because my computer isn't powerful enough to just play them😂 I wish we could have gotten the crash on video, but it is it is....At least I had multiple clips to make it more exiting!😁👍 (I didn't know I got so close to the drone!🤣🤣)

New props should be in tomorrow. So gonna take the Duck back up. Working on fixing the Retracts on the 200% Mustang right now (a curb jump up from no where on the last landing and took them out), to have a Sunday monster fly. Been flying the Mustang with a 17x8, so can't wait to see what she does with a 19x12.

We were lucky! Despite how hard it crashed, we didn't break the props! (Or anything beside the gun)

Think it was an excellent video. The wife like it too. She had not been following the builds, so she liked that you gave a overview of the process. She said mine was just as good (which it wasn't even close) but she's bias and wouldn't look me in the eyes when saying it. Lol. 🤣😂 We don't watch alot of TV, but watch alot of YouTube, and think it was excellent production.
