Mr Man

Mr SPEED!
I just wanted to come back here and say thanx to the sponsors as this is just the brain stimulus I've been needing!

If you never hear from me again that just means it was too much and I burnt up entering the atmosphere.
No problem! This one has been in the development for several months now.

I LOVE THIS! And I see you've timed it to exclude things built BEFORE ... ::ahem:: :p

I don't know if I'll build another giant this soon, but I do want to share a couple things for inspiration:

To @AIRFORGE : I WHOLLY approve of your Giant Commuter idea! ;)

and to the rest, the Scout is a very versatile design! :D

First off, this is a great idea. And doable, i built and flew two 300% giant scale Noob Wonders in 1.5-2 months.

Your rules are a bit light (which is fine) and leaves a few questions that need clarifications.
How big does monster size need to be to qualify? Does Giant Scale size category work?
This is the common definition:
Giant scale is) generally considered to apply to radio controlled model aircraft with minimum wingspans of eighty (80) inches for monoplanes and sixty (60) inches for multi-wing aircraft. Ducted Fan and Turbine aircraft with one hundred forty (140) inches combined length and width, measured from wing tip to wing tip at the widest point perpendicular to the fuselage and added to the length of the fuselage, excluding any protrusions. Autogyros with 50 inches for a single rotor, 80 inches for a dual rotor. Quarter (1/4) scale replicas or larger

Or is it something less tangible?

And you say “go from small to BIG.”
Does that mean make a non-scale RC plane bigger, say 2x min? Or is it more like turning a toy into a large rc model? 1756652727885.png

The day you released the Big Al vid, I was hooked, brother! Great design, Ben! (y)
I made a couple of the Mini Commuters and found it to be an incredibly good flyer even for a mini. Hoping to build a 2 meter at some point.

Idk, I guess just make it bigger than the biggest ft xl plane 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😂 Let’s just say minimum 70”?)

Great to see MR. BIG drop in and comment. Always love to see your builds!

@FoamyDM ,
I plan to go from sub250 from foamboard and an arrow, to big sheets of insulating foam and kayak paddles or an antenna mount pole.
