Somewhere in the dark recesses of my mind there's this flag saying something about a hobby weight limit of like 75 american pounds, maybe less.
Technically I suppose you could servo control a human carrying ultralight..... hmmmm. And yes there were foam human carrying ultrafrights. Perhaps there needs to be a better set of rules?

I doubt anyone is going to be over 75 pounds…

UAS is 55 lbs. by the FAA....

With a UAS or drone greater than 55 pounds, you would need to obtain an exemption the Special Authority for Certain Unmanned Aircraft Systems (USC 44807).
Correct @LitterBug.

My 300% Noob Wonder Twin is ~16lbs AUW. About 4lbs is batts, 4 is electronics. (Motors, esc, Fire wall, wires etc)

Just remember mass/weight grows exponentially with size.

This challenge is right up my alley! If already built scratch builds are legal, I have a couple entries:) My 200% Viggen and 1.8m P-47. Photos and video evidence of superb flight are both available.
