How is everyone printing/assembling their plans? It seems to be the part I always struggle with in my multiple giant scale builds, and what has doomed almost all of them to not fly

There are at least three ways that work, or can work anyway, probably more.

• simply scale in the print dialog of Adobe then fudge the folds
• redraw everything at scale and then print
• for simple plans you can use a square, a ruler, and a marker and lay things out directly on the foam
• go crazy like me and totally redesign and then laser cut

I am taking the FT Slow stick and the plans, and directly scaling it up on the foam. It's a pretty simple design/build cut from a SINGLE piece of foamboard!!!, so not too hard to do. Like 4 pieces of foam to make Right wing, left wing, horiz/vert stabilizers. Bend the wings and glue. Will make custom 3D printed parts and/or laser/Bandsaw cut wood parts. May make cloth hinges.... or come up with some other plan. Planning only 3 channel.

Is 1/8" Baltic Birch ply enough for a 60 size motor mount, or should I double it up?

Open plans in a pdf reader and print in poster . If not big enough you can scale bigger than 100% . Margins at .oo5 .

Yup, that's what I am doing...each "sheet" is about the size of 4 sheets of foam board!

Okay, I'm not being pessimistic, but I need clarification on the rules. How long does it have to fly to count?

I think we all vote so if your plane flies for a even only half a flight but if its the most amusing that could get you in first.

It’s the tiling I am unsure about. I am considering making a 3d printed tiling helper that helps to align the sheets, any ideas of features I should build in? The goal so far is to have it consist of 2 pieces that you align on each paper and they clip together with magnets
