Oh yeah, I still can't believe it. First we did a 30 minute flight with the engine at 50% and landed. We took it off again without changing the battery and it gave us about 10 min more flight.40 minute flights! That's awesome!

It's been a while since I've updated the thread, but I've been pretty busy on other projects. This model has given me great joys, it's an excellent flyer. It's just what I needed to learn, a docile plane and easy to fly. And the most important, resistant to accidents.
I have yet to publish the plans, but I will be working on it soon.

hey, idk how i miss this input.
i am using electric guitar strings powered by 12V DC source. I u can add a dimmer to the circuit that will be great!

yea i tried that... but my guitar strings just burnt..... dont ask why.. because idk

That happens. different string support differten voltage
thiner ones does not work well with high V
i use G strigns with 12 V and they work good enough.

seems like you have different types of string there.....
i just stripped an old dead electric fan heater, and used the nicrome wire from there.... works really well
