FTFC25: Build-ruary by FlyingTyger (Build Skill: 4 Skilled, Pilot Skill: 4 Experienced)

I am giving myself every advantage this year by including at least two previously started projects. I have several other kits/projects to pick from for the remaining two entries, so they will remain TBD until I decide.

As of the start of this contest:

The Antic's airframe is mostly repaired and refinished. Everything has been mounted in place but may require some final adjustments. Nearly all of the detail work still remains. Plus final adjustment of all the functional flying wires 😵‍💫

The Sioux Bipe is currently mostly framed. This is a modified kit, so there are still some things to figure out before it will be ready for covering.

Project #3 will be a micro profile Cap 21 for indoor flying. Span will be 18" and it will use an 1103 outrunner and receiver from Buzzard Models.

Cap-21 progress
Wing and fuse are cut from DTFB and paper removed. Carbon reinforcements added. The tail feathers and wheel panets were cut from foam plates.
Basic assembly is complete.

Progress over the weekend.

Painted the pilot for the Antic.

Built the dummy engine mount, which doubles as the battery hatch.

Dummy cylinders painted and mounted. Some brass tubing added for the pushrod tubes.

Pilot and hatch in place.

I got the Cap 21 ailerons hinged and then sanded everything smooth to prep for paint. I brushed on a coat of thinned white acrylic craft paint. It's now ready for graphics.

As build-ruary comes to an end, I managed to complete (without flight) one project. The Antic restoration is complete and waiting for some nice weather.
