FTFC'25 WWII Dornier Do 335 designed by Zephyr1

Hi everyone, my entry into this contest will be the Dornier Do 335 Pfeil. I've never done an aircraft in the pusher/puller configuration before and I do tend to prefer Luftwaffe paint schemes.

It will have a length of 45" and a winspan of approximately 55"
I'm not planning to do retractable landing gear, and instead have a detachable ventral fin.

This is the final tail section assembly. The ventral fin is now on a servo and can release, and the motor’s ESC is braked

So right before landing I can brake the ESC, drop the ventral vstab, and land on its belly.

Very ingenious idea! I never thought of doing that, great job!

That looks really really good and dropping fin is very innovative.

Anyways, a warning about pushers:

On my next pusher I will use X-mount and hollow the firewall under the motor, that way I can (maybe) get some airflow on the motor too.

But then again you are have 2 motors so maybe there is no problem.
