Maiden Summaries (March 9th):
EZ Skilpad:
Flew awesome. Great maneuverability even in the small space. This is one of the trickier EZ builds, but it's definitely one I always want on hand for lazy day flying. She's ssssssssssooooooooooooooooo slow!
March 10 Update: Again, flew fantastically outside. So easy to play catch with it. I do see an update in the future though, where I either create a removable nose for the battery, or move the slot to the top.
EZ Sparrow:
Space was too small, but it flies! Already needing a fix in the nose/beak. That's happening now, and she'll be good as new. Fast plane, decently agile.
March 10 Update: Flew again outside. For some reason, this version is more squirrely than previous iterations. I might be tempted to remake it, taking my time and use my alternate glue instead of hot glue...
EZ Glider:
Seems to glide nicely, space was also too small to get it to make a turn, but I think it will do well outside. Will need a proper flight outside to see what she's really capable of.
March 10 Update: I flew her outside, and have decided to scrap her for parts. The turning circle is just too big for an EZ plane. The glides great, but that's the only highlight in my opinion.
FT Explorer:
She flew, but not great. Tail-heavy (which was expected), but the bigger problem is that my motor really needs to be replaced. It sound like a lawnmower. I would also like to have this plane slightly smaller, but still use an A-motor, so that might be a fun future project. Also, it future builds, I'll probably remove the paper from the inside of the back of the fuselage to reduce the weight there, and move the servos more forward if possible.
