Looked a hair tail heavy. Fret-not. It will be fun when you get there.

Maiden “flight” 1 complete.

I think you might be right. 🤔 I'd moved things forward a lot to achieve something like a glide. I can still move the battery more. Now that I'm thinking, I could put a little weight on velcro, to add along the battery strip if needed.

At that size… i suspect a penny or nickel may be what you need

I was happy with just moving the battery. No reason to add extra weight if you don't have to. Yes, sometimes it DOES fly better heavier. In my case about a hundred that didnt for the one that did and I suspect there were other factors getting involved on the one that did. Does it glide with the motor off? The prop hanging way down below is a serious nose up couple

Redesigning Paper from scratch. Previous design just didn't work.

Paper progress picture. Given that my 1s motor is wimpy, but pretty light, I may shorten the wings to outside the middle lightening hole. Current weight is 19g. I intend on adding ribs and a spar, then covering with tissue.

This is very much a TLAR design, and I'm thinking it will become a canard, with 1 servo working both elevators and 1 operating the canard for elevator.

Not sure what I'm doing for the spar yet.

Confessions of a poor builder. 💩

Builds are a challenge for me. I have ADD, and my wife and I now do daycare for our grandson as well as taking care of her parents - half their meals and laundry.

Trying to do a build is a constant battle against "Oh... Shiny..." and "Squirrel! I hate squirrels! Where's my airsoft? Is it under this pile? Where'd the... oh, what are you watching honey?"

So, as I post this, I have the unflyable "Paper" and the partially assembled Mighty Mini Tutor, that I've, in theory, been working on yesterday evening and a good portion of today. Supposed to take less than 2 hours. 🫤

So, congratulations to the winners of Build-ruary. It sure ain't me.

Well i heard if you give an rc pilot a challenge…

While time is up on the building for the scoring, there is the week to fly and post vids. It looks like your sona dn you have fun trying to fly the “paper” airplane. And you are now further toward the tutor.

I got in trouble in the same way. Build vid was 4 hr. I worked on it all day… can i fly it yet… no.

If an rc pilot takes out a kit to build. He has to get his tools.
And if he has to get his tools, a battery should get charged
And if a battery gets charged…. A new kit is found.
