FTFF West 2016

I want to go for sure. Have they announced a date or venue yet for flitefest west? FYI I know they said they will be attending the AMA expo which is in Ontario California. Only an hour from my house.
they have mentioned it in a few podcasts. the live one at the last flitefest for sure. If i had to guess it would be right around the ama expo in ontario, ca as they will be on site as presenters anyways. Thats January 8-10.
BUT they also spent alot of time and made connections in the bay area recently...soooooo
If I were a gambler, I 'm thinking Jan 15-17 for FTFF West. Maybe NorCal Bay area. Now I'm in WA and if the fest is in SoCal, I might as well fly to the Regular FTFF. Anyway I will have to fly, so what I bring will be limited. I've spent some time in the bay area so I have some friends still down there. So I am really hoping for that.
I dont know if a couple miles from mexican border can be called "central california".
not sure what "AMOS" is, but I just googled "AMOS CA planes" and it found an RC club based out of the Sacremento-ish area, which is by any measure considered NORTHERN california.
So I'm totally confused and have no idea where this is going to be. I'm sure there will be announcements forthcoming but time is of the essence!
I'm in Portland OR, so if it is held in NORTHERN CA I have a real possibility of driving myself there. Otherwise I probably can't swing it this year.

amos, ca is a town right at the mexican border. but i have no idea what he meant by that either.

I hear Stu's channel has been in talks with FT. I'm already gettin Fast Bats 2.0 (moded bloody wonders)built for the show.
Not sure what they are going to call it but i do know we invited FT to fly with us west coasters. A big turnout would be sweet. Combat Time so bring your paper airplanes.

Thats a pretty nice club and its just over the mountains from where i am, but i dont see anything yet that points to that as a spot they are going to use. I dont see a club letting a couple thousand people, many of whom are not ama members, camp out for a few days on the property.

I am a member of AMOS, and can confirm that Flite Test has been in contact with the club's board members about hosting Flite Fest West 2016. I don't know everything about what the realistic chances are, but I do know that there is discussion about parking being an issue. Our field wouldn't be able to handle a large amount of parking so there is mention of asking Thunder Valley(a casino/hotel about 2.5 miles down the road) to let us use their over flow lot. Also, the date that has been mentioned is the week after the AMA Expo.
Our club is small, and there are some issues that I can think of that would limit an event this size, but man, it would be awesome to roll out of bed, drive 10 minutes and be at Flite Fest West 2016!
