Trying something new (at least to me). Building the mini MS FW 190 this weekend, but part of the process includes sanding down the body and once built, giving it a light coat of water based polyurethane.
I did a test on one of the tail sections of the mini guinea. I liked the way it came out...oh and used some steel wool after the paint dries to give it a nice finish.
Sandpaper: 3M - 320
Steel Wool: #000 grade
Polyurethane: Varathane water based
