Getting Stupid with the Tiny Trainer - The Challenge.

And since I only bought the kit to produce duplicate parts... That task being complete, might as well finish the build!

This ones a 2 channel glider to help teach my youngest to fly...

Having never build a TT... Or any mighty mini for that matter... Was surprised to find that the TT isn't exactly tiny... In fact its pretty comparable to my Lidl glider...

It is always great to see a fresh TT, they get such a hammering they are only crisp for a short time - the TT is small and perfectly formed - I wonder how many TTs have been made to date - I bet a few!

Maidened the Tiny Twin Boomer today with great success. No crazy flying (except a couple very low roll/loops but more just a crazy looking plane. But hey it works. Only have a 1806 2280kv radial motor mounted ATM but it managed to haul a 2200mah 3s lipo! I've had a ball building and flying this plane, more stupid flying ahead hopefully with a bigger motor on the way.

THAT is a beautiful thing! The TT never ceases to amaze. Congratulations on the build and maiden! I'm definitely with @mayan on this this one: +1 for video!

That was beautiful! Attempt number one was an unmitigated disaster. Attempt number two flew straight out like an arrow and then you flew the TT around like it was supposed to have a tail boom! Wonderful!

Not exactly getting stupid... well... I guess it is chucking the glider off a hill with my 5 year old son at the controls so maybe it does count! lol
I need a bit more tuning on the controls (and a bit of wind off this hill wouldn't have hurt) but all in all a good day. More of me and my boy messing around than actual flying but here it is...

My actual "Entry" into this challenge is almost done, might even get a maiden in this weekend if the weather holds...

That was just plain fun! (No pun intended. )

"unmitigated disaster" describes a lot of my RC ventures haha

Again, not exactly crazy, but as I STILL have yet to finish my other TT "custom" build, here's a little Tiny Trainer Slope Soaring...

Posted it in the slope soaring thread but its probably more fitting here! lol

Ok, I'm back from the field, and @meehan's Tiny Trainer is back in the air once again. Here's footage of my buddy flying last night

This is in "stock" form. We'll see where it goes from here!

Cheers!

Happy to see that you brought this thread back to life. Nice flying!

Who would've thought the TT would slope soar? Frickin' cool! That plane never ceases to amaze. The way it went after Wiley, you ought to name it "Road Runner."

Nice close passes! Looking forward to seeing where you take it!

Building a 153% (Un)Tiny Trainer as of tonight, wingspan should be about 1460mm. I think I might add some spars in the wing to accommodate the extra strain. Or maybe use a box spar. Anyway should be fun
