@cdfigueredo : you never answered my duration question. I was actually seriously interested in your results
Oh, sorry, I didn't see your message.
I wasn't really lucky to reach any terminations, the flights didn't last more than 15 seconds. The model suffered several mishaps. some breaks in the wings and nose. i didn't want to push it after that. Still it was fun.

That answer still speaks a lot about your effort. Did you salvage it? If it won't DLG, it will still high start or tow line and could be quite fun.

Covering finally done. AUW=170g which is more than my initial target of 150 but I’m still happy with that and its in line with other 1m balsa kits.
Still need to do some TX programming. Hope I get the chance to try it out soon.

Well, I finally did a quick maiden in local park. But it was too windy so only managed a few hand launches before I nose dived it and broke the hatch, so I didn’t get to try a discus launch. My c.o.g was too far back so I added some weight in the nose to try on the next outing. I fixed damage already. Weight is creeping up….
Final result... ~ 180 -185g. ( if tail were a bit lighter and nose a bit longer... I might have been able to avoid the nose weight added, and get the total weight back to about 175... but seems ok as- is )

Turns nicely, I just need a calm day and some spare time.

(four 5g servos, 220mah 1cell, balsa with 5mm carbon spars and boom, 1/8 balsa ribs and tail, purple ultracote lite on wings/tail, ia6 receiver, sewn hinges, 1/8 balsa for fuselage which is colored/covered with black&orange tissue with ez-dope, 106cm x 65cm, 80% thickness e205 airfoil)
