Actually, that looks good.
First thing I'd do though is split the case and solder in a decent antenna, a good clover leaf type antenna should boost range considerably with less RF interferance, plus with an antenna I add myself I have the option of mounting it wherever I choose to reduce interferance with the receiver just by adding whatever length of shielded coax cable I need between this doohickey and the antenna.
Warranties are made to be voided.
