Im starting to glue some formers on and have a pretty good plan on how to make a hatch. I am installing extra formers that I made for the front and rear hatch walls. More to come...
While the nice big front cowl opening is nice for cooling, I wonder how it will affect high speed flight? This is a big plane and that opening is pretty big too. I think it looks cool though...
As long as there’s somewhere for the air to go it shouldn’t be too big of a deal.
How are you cooling the ESC?
It's going to be tricky making the hatch doubler bulkheads fit in there now that the stringers are in place. I make all the hatch pieces fit first then put the stringers in. Last step is to cut the stringers free with a razor saw and lift out the hatch. Can't wait to see your plan to solve this puzzle.
That's why I like watching someone else build. I learn new tricks and better ways to do things. I never say my way is the only way. I'm always certain and often wrong.Tricky? Yes. Impossible? no. To each their own. If it works it works.
Hmmm, good idea, may try that when I get home, although it's not bad after I sanded.
Sanded down checked the cowl fit and now looking at the hatch former fitting. This is a long thread section in this build post...
