Grunjet 50mm EDF jet! - Easy to build, fun to fly, 50mm EDF jet

The Grunjet is a two sheet foamboard jet that flies fast and sporty, can slow down to a crawl for landings, and is packed with amazing vertical performance. All only costing less $80 to build from the ground up! With this plane you have the option of building it with a V tail or a standard tail, there are no real handling differences between the two other than the fact that the V tail has rudder control. The nature of V tails is adverse roll when rudder is applied, that is quite apparent on...

Enjoying reading about this, watching the videos and am now just completing cutting out all of the parts. Looking at the wing, I would like to know how people are securing the fold over portions. Seems like it would take a fair amount of hot glue. Is anyone using a spray glue like 3M77 or just using hot glue sparingly?

Thanks for a really easy model

Last time I did a fold-over wing I used white gorilla glue and then a little hot glue on the edges to keep it down. However, just using hot glue sparingly will work just fine.

I used hot glue on the leading edge crease and then some more on the trailing edge of the fold over piece, worked great for me!

Grunjet maiden today on 3s. Does need elevator to be at neutral (minimum) for hand launch. Throws were too high on 1st flight, but 2nd and 3rd flights were very easy. Tracked very well. Winds were gusting to 16+ mph so it was a little interesting to land but very pleased. Thanks, again, Grifflyer, for a great model.

Oh that is the nose, it gets glued directly to the fuselage. The hatch piece is what forms the top of the “canopy”
