Guidance for building FT mini-explorer: R88 receiver connections

Hi everyone. I'm an older fellow who built balsa wood, rubber-powered planes as a kid. My grandson has discovered cheap RC planes and I'm hoping to share something more fun and satisfying with him. I recently purchased the FT Mini-Explorer bundle and the build has been going pretty well, but I'm flummoxed on connecting the receiver.

Let me say, I was taken aback that the kit contained no instructions of any kind. I did find a build video on YouTube and it's very good. But when it comes to connecting the receiver, the video focuses on the RadioMaster R84 receiver, because it's a bit tricky. The video describes the R88 as being easier, but it contains no information whatsoever about connecting it. The R88 is what I have in the bundle and I have no idea how to connect it to the other electronic components.

I'd love to read any suggestions about instructions/guidance about building this kit, generally, but especially directions about how to make all the necessary connections into the R88 receiver. (For reference, the video I'm following is

Hope u have heard back from FT support although I doubt they will help u with connecting a receiver to ur radio. I recommend going onto YouTube and searching over there because there are a lot of good and easy tutorials that show how to bind that receiver here is a tutorial I found
