I am designing a Heinkel He 168, as my old one hit a post at high speed, and was completely destroyed.
Progress in fusion 360 so far.
Awesome start!
A MUCH simpler build than what I've started (that's a good thing!)

For plans what I usually do is first lay out the "paper size" as a shape. (or in my case the cut area of my laser, 700x500mm)
Then I arrange the parts on the shape so I get the most use out of each sheet of foamboard.
If I wanted a printed set of plans (to share) I might put what my program calls a "fence" around that shape then I can print that fence's contents to a PDF. There is a "poster" setting in most print drivers to allow printing big sheets on normal printers.
(I just export the DXFs to share... I might do PDFs if there is any demand for my plans...)

You can grab the DXFs of my first run and pull those in to Fusion if you want, DXF is the ASCII equivalent for CAD files to see what I've done.

Hope this helps, if you've got any other questions fire away, I'm happy to help!

Oh I'm just getting the right shape, and then I shall lay it out on the piece size. I don't really know what you mean by pulling the DXF into fusion?

I had a dilemma with attaching the wings, it will be 1400mm span, so I needed a way to remove the wings. I had to redo the whole wing structure. But I think I am mainly done, just need the inner support structures in the fuselage.
And also becuase the fuselage is longer than a sheet, I need to find a way to split it.

Yeah, its nearly done.

Try breaking the fuselage into two pieces then rotating the piece on a sheet (I find that 25-30 degrees usually works.)

Most all CAD programs can open (or import) DXF files. They are the equivalent to what ascii files are to text.
What I was suggesting was to simply open one of my example files just to see how I laid out the sheets, but your last post does a fine job (so I wouldn't bother.)

It's looking great so far, I can't wait to see your maiden!

Hmmm..... I still have the plans.... maybe I could restart this project? What do y'all think? I am gonna release these plans, but they are not done at all... still many pieces missing. They should be able to be made up yourself.

There's an addon for fusion 360 called export for shaper origin that exports faces a SVGs. Once imported to inkscape, you'll need to set the fill to null and the stroke to 1pt. Then open the XML editor and change 'non-scaling-stroke' under the vector properties to 'none'. Look up 'non scaling stroke inkscape' or something similar to get a better in depth explanation. Also make sure that if the part has any holes in it, it will be exported as a group with each hole being an object in it. I'll do a video on the subject soon enough if you're confused.
I am sort of following along and need to go home and attempt this. Do you have any experience with solidworks?

Ahh no sorry, out of foam at the moment.
I will gladly trade you foam for your expertise on this project! You have gotten very far and it would be a shame to stop now, what can I do to help? I am buying a 70mm EDF for this (and other projects if it survives maiden) Also, how do you go about printing it to scale? Use legal paper or go to the copy store?

its a very incomplete design at the moment. You will need to work out a way to mount the edf well, and also a better wing mounting system. I might spend a little while sometime working on them. Or you could complete the plans if you want.I can send you the dxf files and the Fusion 360 files if you want?

Sounds good, maybe a circular 3D printed ring-type of mount with a T-crossbar on the bottom to attach to the fuselage?
PM me the files and I will see what I can do!
