Just giving a shout out as a new member from Ventura County Southern California & complete newb to all things RC. Initial draw for me was aerial landscape video footage from acrobatic quad pilots but not into racing at this point. The Flite Test YouTube videos provide great laughs and now they've got me interested in the building and engineering aspects. So much to learn, so I'm in sponge-mode trying to absorb as much as I can from YouTube videos, and various sites. Slowly acquiring gear and hoping this forum and locals (+groups) can help educate along the way. Slainte !
