Help binding the Aura 5

Hey, I just got my first rc plane and I'm having trouble binding the Aura 5. I have the radiomaster pocket transmitter and elrs ER8 reciever. I already binded the transmitter to the reciever and put the transmitter in Aura 5 model. I connected the Aura 5 at the B port and channel 8 on the reciever. When I hold the bind button and power it up, the aura flashes lights meaning searching for reciever and doesn't stop. Did I do something wrong or forget a step? Thanks for any help.

ELRS is bound different and you do not need to do a bind through the Aura 5.

You will need to connect the Serial port on the end of the ER8 to the Aura5, not a PWM channel.

The RX should have come with a "ELRS- RX- SBUS wire" that plugs into that port. (cable in the middle at the bottom of the picture below)

The RX needs to be configured to talk SBUS on the serial port, and then the Aura 5 should detect it automatically. If not, you will need to configure the Aura manually to SBUS on port B.
