Sorry for the long posts and all the questions!
A few weeks ago, I scored a Power Pack C Radial V.2 Twin Combo and an XL Power Add-On (along with some other stuff) from the getfpv clearance sale. On the one hand, it was an amazing deal. On the other hand, I'm now torn on what all to build. I plan to split the Twin combo to make two C Pack planes.
A little background. I've built the Simple Scout and have over an hour of flight time IRL. I have several hours flying various models in the SIM. I want to stick with "tried and true" plans. They do not have to be official FT plans, but I want something that doesn't need much (if any) deviation from the plans. These will be my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th builds. I like doing some basic acrobatics. Not ready or into the 3D stuff.
I've decided to go with the FT Spitfire for my second build, and I'm leaning towards the FT Mustang or Simple Stick for the third.
1. If you have a better suggestion or want to convince me to build one over the other, I'm all ears!
However, I'm torn on what to build with the XL Add-On. I was first thinking of the Simple Scout XL. However, I don't think it will fit in my car. I've seen people get crafty and build it with removable wings, but I'm not sure I'm ready to make my own adjustments yet. I then saw somewhere that the XL motors are a good fit for the Master Series planes. So, I'm considering the MS Corsair or the MS P-47. I ruled out the MS Mustang, since I've read that it is not good for a first MS build.
2. Has anyone used an XL pack in a Master Series build?
3. Could I still use 3s 2200mAh batteries?
4. Do you have any other ideas for the XL Add-on?
Thanks!
