HELP. Bought a FT22 Raptor, the mighty mini version. I did some pretty rookie things that I’ll list here.

Plugged the 25amp esc fly chord into the receiver and smoked the esc and I’m pretty sure I damaged the receiver.

I’ve got the new ESC which is a 30amp but the receiver is still coming in. My question is why does my motor beep when I connect the new ESC to it and plug in the battery? Is it the ESC?

It sounds like your ESC might not be calibrated yet, which could be why you're hearing the beeping. When the ESC isn't calibrated, it doesn't know what 'full throttle' or 'zero throttle' is, so it beeps as a warning. Try following the calibration procedure for your ESC—usually, it involves setting the throttle to max, powering on the ESC, and then lowering the throttle to min. That should help resolve the beeping issue

Thanks! That helps a ton. I haven’t gotten my receiver yet so I still need to bind it. I was having a ton of trouble trying to bind the first one before I broke it. The reason it broke was because I was trying different things to get it to bind😂. Any tips on binding an elrs receiver to a radiomaster pocket elrs? I got the Flite test version

I don't have the Flite Test version of the Radiomaster Pocket , but I do have the Radiomaster Pocket transmitter and the Radiomaster XR Nano receiver. I followed the first YouTube video I found to set up the transmitter and bind it to the receiver. After both were bound, it used to take around 15 seconds to bind after powering up both the transmitter and receiver.

However, after I updated both the transmitter and receiver using the second video, the bind time dropped to under 5 seconds, which was a nice improvement. I'd suggest updating your transmitter and receiver too, but only if you're comfortable with it
1 st video -
2nd video -
the 2nd video also shows how to setup the transmitter at the end , and after you update both your transmitter and receiver , they both will be bounded already

That sshouldn't happened. Post a picture of how it was plugged in. Maybe some plugs were mixedup.

If it's a slow beep, about 1 per second, the ESC is telling you that it's not receiving a signal from the Rx.

You have to make sure the connections you make are correct before you connect a LiPo. They are powerful batteries that can easily "fry" all the electronics instantly! As you have found simply "try and see" is wasteful and can even be dangerous.

However even when you have the correct connections unless you have a working and bound receiver connected to the ESC it will only make the motor beep and do nothing else. It is simply the ESC telling you there is no command signal that it understands.
It is a safety feature so no matter what you do the motor will never start running.
In addition many ESC have an additional safety feature to insist by beeping that the command signal it does receive is at minimum throttle "off" position. Until it receives the correct signal it will not "arm" (usually by some form of tones) signaling it is then ready to react to throttle stick movement.

There is a lot to be said for getting someone who does know how to set up an RC electric plane to check things over before the battery is connected. Even a picture on this web site where there are plenty of very knowledgeable people to give advice.
