Help please!!! EZ motor wires have been cut

Looking for some help!
While teaching my daughter LS to fly an EZ plane the wires on one of the motors became frayed. I separated them completely and attempted to wire them back together. I attempted to wire red to red and blue to blue, but when I did the motor started spinning in its own, using the throttle adjustment did nothing, anyone have any thoughts? A picture is below

Something doesn't look quite right. Blue/white in top of frame, Blue/red in bottom of the frame, are you sure you are connecting the right wires??? My motors have Black/white for one, blue/red for the other.

If that is a brushed motor, something is off or wrong or crispied in the ESC. Brushed motors run as soon as they are fed power. You reduce power to slow down unlike a 3wire brushless.

Yup, try replacing the motors if this one fails. I've stripped many motor wires and had some success rewiring, but also have purchased a few replacement motors from Amazon.

Thanks! The ones from FF were labeled right and left. Does that matter? Also, what are these motors called so I can look them up

for ten bucks more, you can get a replacement controller too. I have a feeling that there is something wrong with the controller if the motor spins all the time.

Brushed 20x7 is what I searched for. If you're in the USA, then the FT Store is a lot more accessible than us across the border.

I have also used a 20x8 set of motors with the EZ pack. They don't fit into the motor mounts, but that's not a problem for my designs :)
You get a much more power with these units, too.

Is that what you used on the Bronco?

The picture I posted above is the setup I linked above with the lights added. It is going into the EZ Bronco I made from his plans.

@AgentC has some really cool plans!

Had a test pilot lined up at FliteFest last week

Need someone to make plans for my flock of five that I designed. Each is from a larger model that I fly.

Flock of five.JPG

All made out of Adams Redi-Board and the 3 left ones can handle gusty winds with ease. The secret of success is a 13 degree dihedral on the delta, and 21 degree dihedral on the circle and the my "stabilizer" on the rudderless flying wing. All use the V2 motors and weigh in under 60 oz.

It is too bad that more pilots done fly the EZ stuff. $41.50 gets you going with the first one- radio, electronics, battery and 1 sheet of Redi-Board and for an additional $19.99, you got another setup for a second plane.
