So I m new to rc plane, and I buying a trainer, the lipo that come with is 11.1 3sp1 2200 20c but also I have a 6s 4000 25c going in a plane that i traded for other day, kinda going backward but the warbird I traded for is a great deal so I couldn't pass it up, I won't be flying the 1700mm p47 for at least 1-2months so battery will be sitting for that time,

Now here's my budget limited me, I have the money to buy the rtf trainer, the lipo bag and a charger, the 80w charger is 49, and have a built in power supply thunder t680 it will charge 80 w, but nitroplane told me it will charge my 11.1 3s 2200 but won't charge my 6s 22.2 4000 fully, they said I will need a 88.8w, so next step up is 100w, I don't have issue getting it but that one have no powersupply so I don't have money for one at the. Moment, any suggestion? And what it mean by won't charge it fully? Is there charger that have build in powersupply and will
Charge my 6s 22.2 25c 4000?

Thx

I'm not an expert, but I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to charge fully with less watts... I'm interested in finding out!

The voltage is key. As long as you have enough voltage it will charge your battery, it will just do it slower if it can't provide enough amperage.

My recommendation is to buy an accucell 6 from hobbyking. It doesn't come with a household power supply, it only comes with 12 volts clips to run off your car, but most of us have come up with our own power supplies. It will charge a 6S battery up to 6 amps which means a 1 hour charge. But...that's only if you have enough of a power supply. If you run it off your car battery you can do a 1 hour charge on a 6S.

With the Accucell 6 you can adjust the charge rate to a lower amperage which will accommodate your smaller power supply but it will extend the time of your charge. I have a smaller power supply that I use inside that only allows me to charge at 1.2 amps so it takes 1 hour to charge a 1200 battery. For a 4000 it would be 3.3 hours.

Here's my setup:

Yeah I thought so, that less watts just means longer charging periods... But now I'm sure :)

Yea I just start finding out myself, the guy at nitroplanes just really don't know what he talking about and the customer services was horrible, i asked him a question and then he just silent, and finally I asked "hello?" he said yes sir? I asked hear what I said, and he said yes, then there was another sIlent then I asked r u able to tell me about the charger? He asked me what charger so I explained again, and we did this 3 times.

So I did some research they have horrible customer services from a lot of ppl, idk, but I delete my order,

Anyway this is the battery charger I looking at

I really like the powersupply in one, instead buying them separately

Will that work

Having a built in power supply is nice and convenient, but you will find that the higher end chargers generally don't. I bought an accucell because all the people I know run them, even the guys with the huge gas powered 3D planes use them to charge their flight packs. I bought one and loved it so much I bought two. Here's a nice thing, I can run both chargers off of my single power supply and it's still cheaper than buying one charger with it built in. Plus if the charger or power supply crap out I only have to replace that part instead of buying a whole new combo unit.

My experience with the Accucel 6, I've never been able to charge at more that 4.5 amps...
Still an excellent charger and still probably the way to go.
Excellent recommendation AK

Battery n charger

Oh- where are you planning to get your batteries and what kind of connectors do you plan to use?

I already have a blitzrcworks 6s 22.2 25c 4000mah battery
I getting a banana hobby rtf plane, it come with a 11.1 3sp1 2200mah(don't know brand) and extra battery genesis power 11.1 3sp1 2200

I need a charger that can do both battery, and I m limited to spend $100 for charger and powersupply

Thats what I stuck at, Becuz some ppl
Said I need more watt some ppl said I don't, cuz I wanna just buy a built in powersupply charger but I want to get the tunigy accucell 6 (50w) but I afraid be issue charging the 6s 4000mah, I know the 3s be no issue, now there's a 150w tunigy charger? Idk I m so confused lol

the Turnigy Accucel 6 is a great recommendation and will work fine.
I don't have any experience with the one that you linked to but my guess is that it will work fine.

The reason I ask where you plan on getting your batteries from is because you'll need a charging lead that will fit your battery. Not a huge deal, you may or may not have to make an adapter. My guess if you buy the blitzwork one and are getting your batteries from there too (banana), the charger may have the right connection with it.

I found a perfect idea!

So my issue is getting a powersupply cuz they ain't cheap, but I just read up DIY on powersupply using computer ps, which I got a 350w and a 400w since I upgraded my comPuter to 1000w, so problem solve!!! I can pick up a nice turnigy charger :-D ok so I looking at the turnigy accucell 8 (150w) shouldn't be issue with charging 6s4000mah right? And the discharge and balance function is good? And anyone know it have a store mode? And the computer 350w ps will do the job?

You will likely have to make an adapter.
LHS may have the connector you need.
It depends what kind of connector is on the batteries that you buy.

I use alligator clips to charge my dean's connector batteries. I have the proper adapter, but the wires keep pulling off the solder.
You can use a simple wall plug in DC power supply, as long as it is within rated voltage and amp range of the charger. Just snip off the car battery connecters that come with the charger and solder the two wires to the plug-in dc power supply wires. Works fine for my Supermate DC-6.
