Where I live is really difficult to get LED strips to illuminate my models at a reasonable price, instead, I discovered these small 12v LED lamps at a less offensive price (still expensive, but a little less than the LED strips).

I would like to try something like this. https://www.aurorarc.com/

take a look at this https://www.aurorarc.com/product/aurora/

It could even be an easily interchangeable system between several planes. The problem is that the lights are not cheap, and I wouldn't want to invest lot of money in something that won't work.

So, my questions are:
  • Would it be possible to power these 12v lights connected in parallel directly from my 3s battery (tha same i am using to power my motor) ?
  • How much consumption could these lamps have? Would they quickly drain the battery?
The advantages of this system over LED strips are clear. First, the visualization of the plane is better in my opinion, and second, if you manage to develop an interchangeable system, you could fly many night planes without adding the LED strips during construction. At least for me, this way is better because it is very expensive for me to buy LED strips.

i searched up the bulbs to find it :) ive used such on cars with 12V, so know the bulbtypes... anyway is the type point to be seen, not to light up, and it will, depending on darkness be seen good. If want something that "lights up/make beam" you need some with a relector on.
White type, not warmwhite, will also have a certain blue note in light

I have used the cheap led strip lights on my plane, 2 strip in each wing. I powered then from my 3S flight pack. They work, but you need to wait until it’s completely dark. On my next setup, I plan to use 6 strips in each wing. Hopefully this will increase the brightness.

I suspect aurorarc lights are far brighter than the amazon lights.

I used single LEDs in my first night flyer, and they were birght enough. This kind of led bulbs are pretty bright. I guess using 2 on each wing tip, and 2 on the tail I will be fine. But I am not sure.

SMD leds have been pretty much a standard today, the bulb thought on here have 8 pcs of such .... if is a LED strip, its also SMD leds..even if could have different intensity.(light power) after how many, or type it is
