Hey hey guys. I used to build and fly foam board planes about 10 or 11 years ago. I quit flying because we moved and didnt have the space to build anymore so every thing went into storage. Now that I have more space and a 3d printer I decided to print some planes and get back into flying. I used a Taranis X9D back then without any issues. Some how that Tx disappeared so I bought a Taranis X9 lite because I already had some X8R receivers and from what I read after a Rx update they would work together even though the Tx is access and the Rx is accst. The problem I am having is when I connect the Rx to the Tx via the smart port it doesnt power up the Rx to do the update. The weird part is if I take the sd card out of the Tx it will connect to the Rx with no problem. I put the sd card in to update open tx and they do not connect. So now Im not sure whats going on or how to go about fixing it being that I cant connect the 2. Any help is very appreciated.

I apologize for wasting you time to read this. I feel like a big dummy lol. I was actually having 2 different problems which I found out by messing around in the menus. The problem with the Tx connecting to the Rx via the smart port is because I was choosing flash external device instead of flash S port. I know, stupid mistake...

Finally was able to get the Rx flashed but still couldnt get them to bind. That issue came from not changing from access to accst in the radio settings. Once I figured that out everything bound up perfectly fine.

So with all of that said and done and after making myself feel like a moron I finally have working controls. Now off to relearn the rest of the fine tune settings.

Thank you for those that took the time to read. I doubt this will help anyone but if it does Ill consider it a win lol.
