Hi need to know more about gas engines and silencers

Hi i want to buy and biuld a hangar nine p-51 size 40 plane and put in a gas engine for the sound and long flight times. but i want to know if there is a better way of setting up a gas engine because the big fat silencer siting out the side ruins the beutiful scale looks. is there a way to not use a silencer or to hide it in a size 40 plane.

I have seen some with a tuned pipe coming off the back of the engine and going through the fuse.

You need to get a bigger plane or a smaller engine.
Most bigger planes fit their engines totally inside the cowl and handle scale exhaust stacks.
RCV makes smaller engines. the RCV 60 will be fine in a H9-P51/40

they are so cool and samll can are they gas? also is there a chance i could lead the exhaust pipe throught the plane so that it spouts just out the belly
