New to the forums. My favorite scratchbuild is a kinda hybrid of the Bloody Wonder (wing) and the Bloody Baron (tail). 13:30 flight time with 2200mAh 3s LiPo.
A bit of both. Funny thing, I never could handle the FT Simple Cub, but this thing? Piece of cake. Very acrobatic when the rates are up, very docile at low rates. I love flying this thing.
I'm building another one with a smaller vertical stabilizer area and about the same size rudder surface to see if that will make for a "smoother" yaw action. It's gonna be red.
Also, thought I'd add that it's power plant is the E-max 935 kV motor from the "B" pack and a 9x5 prop. 13:30 with 2200 mAh 3S. I haven't used a 4S yet, but it's in the plan...
When you go 4S, I'm thinking you will need to change props. I'm trying to recall the rule of thumb from Flite Test, but I think you will have to go down in size (diameter) of prop?
The limiting factors there are max amps on motor and max amps on ESC.
If you like aerobatic, you could also build yourself a mini edge . I’ve recently built one and love it . The original sized one was to hard for me to carry to the field so I sized it down.
That's an awesome mash-up you've got. If you've the inclination, I'm pretty sure all of us here would love to see it in action! Throw up a vid on youtube and you can link it here in the forum. She looks like she's an absolute hoot to fly! Welcome to the Family!

A while back I used an ampmeter to check this out, if I remember correctly, it was pulling about 17 amps with a 4S, should be safe as I'm using a 30A esc. However, i will check again before I try it. Thank you for the thought. Peace-
