Found a video from a guy who pieced the ARF kit together on his own before it was available.

Looks like the AUW was 375 grams.

So there is finally some activity on tracking information for my parcel from HK International by Malaysian Post Register Airmail. Order placed on the 18th, order dispatched from the warehouse on the 19th, and parcel US bound on the 27th. At this rate I might get to see it sometime next week...

Paul @ ReadyToFlyQuads isn't doing much better either. We're going on the eighth day with the order processing with waiting on him to solder pins and a cover on a Flip 2.5 flight controller.

This has been by far the slowest process of order to build of any rigs I've built to date. Its trying my patience.

Well a friend of mine has received his in just... 5 days!

It usually take 4 weeks to get HK orders here in Switzerland...

Mine is still in backorder, but I can't wait to receive it and test it... maybe in a few months

Why Malaysian Post? The Swiss air option is super fast and super cheap. My last two orders with it arrived in 7 business days and I just placed another last night (which hasn't cleared the warehouse yet) but it was less than $3 in shipping (bunch of props and some wire) You can do lipos with the swiss air option too, in fact that was what prompted them to add it.

The only problem I've found with Swiss post is it's not the default and it's like 3 or 4 options down so it's not an obvious choice.

I've seen a couple reports from folks across the pond getting their orders already. Makes me all the more jealous :p.

I knew these kits would sell quick, so I jumped right on it. I didn't want to imagine waiting for more stock to become available. Keep us updated though; will be curious to see how long it takes.

I had two options at checkout. One for $19 which I dont remember the name of, and the other for $20 which was labeled Registered Airmail. I had hoped the more expensive option was going to mean it got here a bit quicker, but that doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Going on the tenth day of my order pending with ReadyToFlyQuads for a Flip 2.5 and I've told Paul to cancel the order if it isn't out the door today. Even if I do still end up with the Flip in my hands, it wont fly as I will refuse to support someone with such terrible service.

I've ordered up a Naze32 from MultirotorSuperStore with which I plan to fly on this little 250 once Malaysia Post decides to get it state side.

I cringed when I saw Flite Test promoting RTFQ. I had a similar experience. Slow out the door, poor communication, it too me submitting a Paypal claim to get a reply. Even then I didn't want to continue the sale, because if it was that hard to actually get the product I had paid for, how would he handle any problems with said product. I told him to cancel the order. He didn't. He let the Paypal dispute play out (he didn't argue it, but it's a slow process), and a month later I had my money back.

He can't keep up with current demand, yet he's doing all he can to get podcasts and shows to promote his products. He needs to focus less on advertising, and more on actually getting products into the customer's hands.

I just got my ship notice from HK today, longest it's taken them to get an order out the door for me since last summer. We'll see if Swiss post sticks to their record. If so I should have new props by next Thursday.

I never heard back from Paul about the missing mounting squares in my order so not in a huge hurry to place another order with him. I figure since he's still got the big red notice on his site he knows he's way behind so why even add to the workload at this point. (not being ready to buy a controller just yet contributes as well.) I'd love to give a Naze a try, but every time I've been serious about buying a controller I've only seen the acro boards in stock. I see the actual Naze32 is back in stock now, will be interested to hear how it works out for you. I like the hardware but the software seems even wilder than MW and with personalities like timecop leading development...I'm a little hesitant to step into the fray until things stabilize a bit better. The board is fairly priced, but still a bit more than I can spend on an experiment right now. If I had some kind of dev board on hand that I could press into service much like I did the arduino for MW on my current quad - I'd probably be trying it already :D But since I don't happen to have anything suitable just laying around board cost becomes a player in my equation.

I have ideas for how I'd do a board - and I could draw up the schematics in Eagle. But I'm not having any luck at all with generating actual board layouts for even simple designs let alone a design like this. The two layer limit in the free version of Eagle doesn't help but mostly I just can't get the hang of laying out boards :D One of these days I'll either meet someone who can actually design a board from my schematic - or figure it out myself. Nothing revolutionary, based off a proven design - but do some things a little different like keep the sensors off the main board and filter their power extremely well, integrate an openLRS right into the board, add some power filtering for FPV. All built as small as practical so it would work well on a light mini quad. Maybe this summer when I'm stuck inside hiding from the heat I'll make more progress figuring out Eagle.

If anyone is looking for a Naze 32 the best place to get it is direct from the source at Abusemark.com. Its the cheapest and was shipped for me within 24hrs.

I don't seem to have an email from RTFQ this morning with shipping information. Such a disappointment because products he offers are a good value and ships from a US supplier. Come Monday I will be starting a charge back process. Again, such a huge disappointment.

In good news however, MultiRotor Super Store shipped both orders yesterday. Both orders should be delivered Monday via USPS Priority Mail from California to Texas and Colorado. The order coming to me has a unsoldered Acro Naze32, some 9" props for the Bat Bone, and some 6x3" two blade props for the FPV250 ARF kit. The order going to Colorado is a pre-soldered Acro Naze32 for CranialRectosis to enjoy getting his hands messy with a Naze. This is a fantastic level of service which all vendors should aspire to achieve. I have has similar experiences with both Altitude Hobbies and Ready Made RC.

My apologies for miss posting yesterday about the Naze32. I ordered the acro version as I intended to have a stripped down MultiWii board without the auxiliary sensors destined for acro flight. I am curious to see how well a full features Naze32 with GPS, barometric sensor, and magnetometer sensor will fly for holding position and altitude in comparison to a Naza.

Punching numbers on eCalc it seems like the 6x3" two blade props on the 1900KV Multistar motors should be at their limit and offer just a little more lift than the 5x3x3 props provide. Should make for a pretty quick little hot rod if I can keep the weight under 400 grams of all up weight.

Based on what I've heard I wouldn't expect it to position hold much if any better than MultiWii. Since it's based on MW and Timecop seems to have little if any interest in position hold and stability and instead is mostly interested in acro. That and his utter disdain for Naza and the way it performs - he's been pretty outspoken that if you want something that performs like Naza get a Naza but he can't imagine why anyone would want something that flys like that and position hold in MW and BaseFlight is totally different by design.

NERD!!!! :)
Wish I had heard of all the problems with rtf quads before I placed a 200 dollar order with him. It's only been 4 days, but now I'll be on the look out.

What seems to be the issue? Is it when you order things he has to work on? Or just slow in general ?

Just when I thought I had found a good supplier of good parts, something like this has to be brought to light.
Great

No joke. I don't mind waiting. I've been waiting all my life for something, but I do expect some reasonable length of time.
Let's hope Paul turns out good for me. He seems like a good guy, and all the products seem to be good.

Oh well. Not much traffic in my build log yet anyways. I think the ft community can wait

I think it's just he has more than he can handle, he builds/sets/flashes stuff per customer requirements, and is a one man shop. All this adds up to a pretty considerable delay. I'm sure you will get your order, I just hope you are in no hurry...

Then again, some things are worth waiting for...?
